The new woodland at Yoxall is on a National Forest owned site, at Woodmill, near Yoxall, Staffordshire. The woodland has been established with the intentions of offering public amenity, enhancing the landscape and improving biodiversity. It will be managed by thinning to achieve continuous cover. The woodland is an example of a Lowland Mixed Deciduous Woodland – one the UK Post-2010 Biodiversity Framework Priority Habitats. (The Framework replaced the UK Biodiversity Action Plan).
