Midilli Hydro
A hydro power project on the Yeşilırmak River. The project generates zero carbon electricity in Türkiye.

The Midilli Hydroelectric Power Plant in Türkiye is a renewable energy facility that produces electricity from hydropower with no direct combustion emissions, contributing to national decarbonisation by reducing dependence on fossil fuels and supporting Türkiye’s renewable energy targets. Independent assessments indicate that hydro plants like Midilli create significant employment during construction, knowledge transfer in technical operation, and long-term skilled jobs, thereby delivering social benefits to local communities.

Certified under the Verra Carbon Standard (VCS), the world’s most widely used carbon crediting program, endorsed by ICROA.
A renewably powered society can be a positive one from an economic, social as well as from an environmental perspective.
