Fresh Start Waste Services at The Gangway

This new 13.5 acre woodland, part of a much larger sustainable forest creation programme, will capture 2,125 tonnes of CO2. There are over 7,000 trees at the site, comprised of Alder, Birch, Cherry, Hawthorn, Hazel, Oak, Rowan, Sycamore, Willow and Sitka spruce. The project is recently completed its Woodland Carbon Code audit, and is expected to be certified in the summer of 2019. The project represents the conversion to forestry of arable and grazing land, and it will produce significant local water quality and flood benefits.
